This course will explore and experience a sampling of the thinkers & doers in liberative pedagogy; the use and abuse of power in education as experienced by oppressed and marginalized peoples; and the nature of Christian education in the church today. This course seeks to cultivate a student’s ability to find their own voice and call out oppressive systems by creating a space where both collective and individual consciousness are not only raised, but can thrive.
